If you are looking to practice strong inversions, this class is for you. This intermediate + class is for those looking to take their practice to another level. Supportive, guided instructions will provide the opportunity for practitioners to move through intermediate and advance posture variations and transitions, as well as inversions and inversion transitions. A balanced class to stretch and strengthen the whole body with a goal of learning and exploring. Please be secure in sirasana 1 and 2 away from the wall and willingness to practice other inversions sans wall.

This open-levels class is for anyone working to grow their practice. Variations to offer modification or challenges will be offered for all; beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Come with a willingness to learn, play, and grow in the community of others! $15 cash drop in.

Candace Glass

Candace became the owner of Southtown Yoga in March 2016. She also owns Elephant Power: Mindfulness and Yoga for Kids.

Candace is a 500hr RYT with certifications in hatha yoga, children’s yoga, yogahour, prenatal yoga, and mindfulness.
Candace’s teaching is informed by the knowledge, experience, and wisdom that over 20 years of teacher experience provides. She continues to teach children, educators, and yoga practitioners and those who want to teach yoga.
As a student, on her mat and off, Candace delves deeper into self-growth, with a strong emphasis on mindfulness and meditation as a practice. Yoga combined with mindfulness lead Candace to greater clarity, purpose, and self-love. Candace remains a student first, which she believes is vitally important to being a strong teacher.
Candace believes in joy, in practicing yoga with humility and effort, doing your best, and giving yourself some grace as you do it.

Kiley Enno

Kiley came to Southtown Yoga after years of hassling from her mom. Despite her initial resistance, she was quickly consumed by the benefits and challenges that her practice and the community offered. She completed Southtown’s Teacher Training in 2012 and became yogahour certified in 2014.  She recognizes that her mom was right, and admittedly, now drives the yoga ‘bandwagon.’ She considers Southtown Yoga a second home.

Roxanne Frank

Roxanne started her yoga practice with a DVD and a friend in her living room in 2006. In 2012 she moved to St. Louis and completed her 200-hour teacher certification with Mitchel Bleier and Brigette Finley. Through her practice and study, Roxie has discovered yoga's ability to transform perspectives, create friendships and open the door to many opportunities. She strives to bring what she discovers on the mat into the whole of her life.

Kristina Camba Skinner

Kristina found her yoga home at Southtown Yoga when she participated in the 2011 Yoga Bender. In 2014, she completed Southtown Yoga's 200-hour teacher training and is now a Certified Yogahour® Teacher. Kristina loves that yoga makes everyday better and often uses it as a tool to flip perspective. When she's not practicing, she enjoys running, cooking, and being a nurse. Expect a fun but challenging class from this playful and feisty teacher.

Lara Gershman

After practicing for years, Lara’s dedication to yoga grew exponentially when she discovered Southtown in early 2014. She completed Yogahour teacher training with Brigette and Alexis Finley in 2015, a few months after finishing her Masters of Social Work. Lara has found yoga to be a major positive force in her life, both physically and mentally, and is thrilled to be able to share this with others. When not at the studio, she can be found working with young people, seeing live music, and exploring the many gems St. Louis has to offer.

Devon Drag

Devon began practicing at STY in 2013 and stepped into her teaching journey in 2016. She continues to build her knowledge everyday through a strong personal practice and time on the mat with her students and teachers. Devon’s teaching style encourages a strong focus on alignment and aims to make yoga approachable for all students while offering challenges and opportunities to advance their practice. Devon has a welcoming approach that makes the practice space a safe and comfortable place for all and she hopes to share the joy and foundation that yoga has given to her with her own students.

Savannah Martin

Savannah's journey with yoga began in 2011 when she found herself joyfully stumbling, laughing, and smiling through a Yogahour class in Tucson, Arizona. Since then, her practice has become both her biggest challenge and her safest refuge. Savannah loves yoga because it continuously shatters her perception of what she can and cannot do, both physically and otherwise. It is, for her, a celebration of human potential. Savannah became Yogahour certified in 2015, and in 2021, she will complete a doctoral degree in physical therapy. Fun fact: Savannah used to be the lead singer in a rock band! The only time you'll catch her singing now is at the end of class during savasana.
