What should I bring?
  • Towel
  • Yoga Mat (or you can borrow one of ours)
  • Water bottle
What should I wear?
  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
  • Your bare feet!  Yoga is practiced without shoes or socks. Please leave your shoes in the lobby.  The practice rooms are shoe-free zones.
What class should I attend first?
  • Basics is a great place to start. This class focuses on alignment and the basic shapes of the poses. The pace is slow and the instruction is detailed and clear.
  • Yogahour is an all-levels class, perfect for the fit-beginner who is looking to sweat and work hard, but doesn't know much (or anything) about yoga.  What seems fast during your first class will soon become flow. The pace of yogahour is fast, yet the poses are safe for all-levels.
  • Our teachers don't practice while they teach, so set up in the 2nd or 3rd row back.  That way, if you get confused you can see what others in front of you are doing.  Don't worry, its ok to look around!
What else should I know?
  • Please come well-hydrated and eat no less 2 hours before class. Do not come hungry and/or thirsty.
  • Yoga builds strength in addition to flexibility, which requires effort. Expect to sweat.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early.
  • Stay in the room until after final relaxation (savasana), the last pose.
Where do I park?
  • We do not have a parking lot, however, there is plenty of street parking in Lafayette Square.
  • PLEASE USE THE ENTRANCE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING. Look for an entrance sign pointing to the alley on the right when you’re facing the studio.
